The resolution offered by XSane is from 75 to 4800 DPI. This scanner is recognized at once by XSane. This is a USB "All-In One" printer/scanner. Also, there had been a regression, the Wittawat Yamwong's driver v0.13.1 in a fresh Ubuntu v7.10 installation does not work anymore. Out of the box this scanner is not recognized.

Despite the dire warnings, it was the only way I could get it to work. If you downgrade libsane to 1.0.15 then everything works fine. Scanner is recognized correctly but makes grinding noises. A PPA is available with a recent libsane version. Works if using a recent sane version from git. Recognized by the kernel and sane-find-scanner but the backend doesn't support it.
